Reviewing and sending drafts
Every draft InboxOji writes waits for you right inside Gmail, on the email it answers. You read it, change anything you like, and send. The AI does the typing; you keep the final word.
Where your drafts appear
There is nothing new to open and nothing new to learn. When an email matches one of your published rules, InboxOji writes a reply and leaves it as a normal draft on that same thread, the way a draft looks when you start typing one yourself.
That means your drafts show up wherever you already read email: the Gmail app on your phone, Gmail in your browser, the inbox on your laptop. Open the conversation and the suggested reply is sitting there, ready.
InboxOji only acts on mail that matches a rule you've made live — everything else stays private and untouched. And it never sends a reply for you unless you have deliberately turned on auto-send for that rule.
Reviewing and sending
- Open the email thread
Find the message in your inbox and open the conversation, just as you would to reply by hand.
- Find the draft waiting on it
InboxOji's reply is already there, attached to the thread as a draft. No need to look anywhere else.
- Read it over
Check that it says what you would say. Most of the time it will sound like you, because it is written in your voice.
- Tweak anything you like
Change a word, add a line, trim a sentence. It is your draft to edit freely before it goes anywhere.
- Hit Send
The reply sends as you, from your own address. To the person receiving it, it is simply an email from you.
A starting point, not a commitment
A draft is only a suggestion. You are always free to edit it, rewrite it completely, or discard it and answer your own way. Nothing is sent until you choose to send it, so there is no pressure and no risk in letting InboxOji take a first pass.
The AI does the first draft. You always decide what actually goes out.
If you find yourself changing the same thing on draft after draft, treat that as a helpful signal. A quick adjustment to your writing voice in Settings, or to the wording of a rule, usually fixes it for good. See When a draft looks wrong for how to tune things.
For replies that are truly routine and that you have tested and trust, you can turn on auto-send so InboxOji sends them for you and skips this review step entirely. It is per-rule, opt-in, and reversible. See Turning on auto-send.
If you discard a draft, that does nothing to the rule behind it. The rule stays exactly as it was, and the next matching email still gets a fresh draft of its own.
Seeing what was drafted
