Delete your account
Deleting your account closes InboxOji for good and removes your data. This page walks you through what happens, a few gentler options if you only want to pause, and how to delete when you're sure.
What deleting does
When you delete your account, InboxOji closes it and removes your data. That includes your rules, your writing voice and other settings, and your activity history.
It also disconnects InboxOji's access to your Gmail. After deletion, InboxOji can no longer read the emails that matched your rules and stops drafting entirely.
Deletion can't be undone. Your rules, settings and activity history won't be recoverable. If there's anything you might want later, save it before you delete.
Before you go
Deleting is the right move if you're done with InboxOji entirely. If you only want to stop one thing, there's often a lighter option that keeps your account intact.
- Want a copy of your work? Export first. You can download your activity and account data while your account is still open. See Export your data.
- Only want to stop being charged? Cancel your plan instead. Your account stays open and your rules are kept. See Change or cancel your plan.
- Only want it to stop drafting? Move your rules out of the Published section so they go inactive, or disconnect your inbox. Both stop drafting without closing your account.
How to delete your account
- Open Settings
Go to Settings.
- Find Security & data
Scroll to the Security & data section.
- Choose Delete account
Select Delete account.
- Confirm
Confirm when prompted. This is the point of no return, so we ask you to confirm before anything is removed.
What happens to your Gmail
Deleting your account removes InboxOji's permission to access your Gmail. You don't need to do anything else for that to take effect.
If you'd like to remove the connection yourself as well, you can do it any time from your Google account's security settings, under the list of apps with access. Removing it there also stops InboxOji from reading your emails.
For peace of mind: InboxOji only ever looked at the emails that matched your rules, never your whole inbox, and your email content was never used to train AI models.
If you're on a team
On ENTERPRISE, removing a single person from the team is different from closing the whole account.
- Removing one teammate is handled by an admin in the admin console. The rest of the team carries on as normal. See Invite and manage users.
- Deleting the account closes InboxOji for everyone on the team. If you're a teammate who just wants to leave, ask your admin to remove your seat instead.
