Exporting your activity

2 min readInboxOji Help

Sometimes you want your activity outside of InboxOji — for your own records, a monthly report, or to show a client or manager how much you have handled. Exporting turns your activity into a file you can save, send, or open in another tool.

Everything you export comes from your Activity log — the running record of what InboxOji drafted and auto-sent, for which rule, with the time saved. Exporting just hands you that same record as a downloadable file.

The Activity filter and export bar, showing rule, action and date filters, a format dropdown, and the Export, Schedule, and API access controls.
The filter and export bar sits at the top of Activity. Set your filters on the left, choose a format, then Export.

What you can export, by plan

The format choices grow with your plan:

  • CSV. PRO+ A simple spreadsheet file that opens in Excel, Numbers, Google Sheets — almost anything. This is the export available on Pro.
  • Excel, PDF, and JSON. ENTERPRISE More formats for more uses: a polished spreadsheet, a tidy document for sharing, or structured data for another system to read.
  • Scheduled exports. ENTERPRISE Have an export delivered automatically on a recurring basis, so you do not have to remember to pull one.
  • API access. ENTERPRISE A read-only key that lets your own tools or reports pull your activity directly, without anyone clicking Export.

Not sure which plan you are on, or what each one includes? See Plans explained.

Export a file

An export is a quick, three-step thing:

  1. Set your filters and date range

On the Activity page, use the rule, action, and date filters to narrow down to exactly what you want. Leave them as-is to export everything.

  2. Pick a format

Open the format dropdown and choose CSV (or, on Enterprise, Excel, PDF, or JSON).

  3. Click Export

Your file downloads right away. Open it, save it, or attach it to an email — it is yours.

Note

Exports respect the filters you have applied. So you can export just one rule, or just one month, by setting those filters first — the file contains exactly what is on screen, nothing more.

Set up recurring exports ENTERPRISE

Instead of exporting by hand, use Schedule to set an export to arrive on a repeating basis. Handy for a standing monthly report or a regular backup you would rather not think about.

Pull activity automatically ENTERPRISE

Use API access to create a read-only key. With it, another tool can read your activity on its own — useful for feeding a BI dashboard, lining up usage with client billing, or keeping your own backups. It is read-only, so it can look but never change anything.
